Much has been spoken, written and even sung about the coming age of Aquarius. The well-known song medley commonly known as "The Age of Aquarius" or "Let the Sunshine In" was written for the 1967 musical Hair, which peaked at number one for six weeks on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in the spring of 1969[1], had the following to say about the dawning Age of Aquarius:

When the Moon is in the Seventh House,

And Jupiter aligns with Mars,

The peace will guide the planets,

And love will steer the stars,

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius,

Age of Aquarius,

Aquarius, Aquarius…

Harmony and understanding,

Sympathy and trust abounding,

No more falsehoods or derisions,

Golden living dreams of visions,

Mystical crystal revelation,

And the mind’s true liberation,

Aquarius! Aquarius!

As astrologers, in an attempt to understand in its fullness, the coming age of Aquarius, we need to consider the entering quality of its being over approximately the last 700 years, as it is commonly believed by many astrologers that the last 10 degrees of a given age (1 degree equals 72 years, hence 720 years), starts making its influences visible. Historical events over the last century alone have culminated into a remarkable source of confirmative Aquarian events which have come to pass, especially from the mid 1960’s until present day. Many believe that we are at the beginning of this new Age, the age of the water-bearer, an outpouring of universal knowledge and information.

In hope of better understanding this new age that Earth and all her living inhabitants are now entering, we need to first consider the preceding ages that came before in order to get a better sense of what is to come. The age preceding the coming age of Aquarius, is the age of Pisces, the age that humanity is in the process of leaving. At this point in time, it would seem like we are stuck with one foot in each age as humanity pilgrimages at the precipice of this transitional period, and we depart the past paradigm and prepare to enter the new. On the one hand, a very innovative, enlightening and exciting time to live in indeed, yet on the other, feelings of fear, frustration, confusion and delusion continues to dominate and overwhelm all who are on this journey together with our Earth Mother (Gaia) as she takes her course in the vastness of space. At the end of every age, old structures breakdown and disintegrate to make way for the new energy of the age coming through. The establishment of the Roman Empire in 753 B.C. and its mighty rise to power in the imperial period, starting in 27 A.D., just as the Piscean age officially began, is a good example of this energy beginning its influence and slowly coming through into full force over a period of approximately 700 years.

The astrological ages are brought about by the precession of the equinoxes which is a result of the backwards wobble of the earth’s axis. The Earth’s geosphere is ultimately a spherical ball which, as commonly known to all, spins on its own axis in an anticlockwise direction. One complete revolution on its own axis completes a full 24 hour day, 12 hours by day and 12 hours by night. This Axis Mundi (axis of the Earth). Not only does Earth spin on her own axis, but due to the gravitational force of the Moon, Sun and other planets, the Earth wobbles along in the solar system upon this axis. One complete wobble is termed a ‘Great Year’, a ‘Stellar Year’ and ‘the Precession of the Equinoxes’. The word ‘precession’ is defined as: A slow gyration of the earth’s axis around the pole of the ecliptic, caused mainly by the gravitational pull of the Sun, Moon and the other planets on the Earth’s equatorial bulge.[2]The axis of the Earth through this wobbling motion traces a circle in the Northern part of the heavens. Periodically we need to adjust for this wobble by adopting a new North Star.[3]

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-E9qeTQap2nw/Tqm0HvfomNI/AAAAAAAAAW8/lCRjaviLGbc/s1600/precession3.gif

During a ‘Great Year’, the North and South Poles each trace a circle in space which can be seen from the diagram above. In one 25,920 year cycle the pole star can change four times, since the axis of the Earth shifts enough for the North Pole to point to other stars besides the present one, which is the star of Polaris. In 3000 B.C, Alpha Draconis was the pole star. In 7500 A.D. Alpha Cephei will be the star to which the North Pole of our axis will point. In 14,000 A.D., it will be Vega, only to return once again to Polaris in the year 28,000 A.D. See the diagram below[4]:

Thus, the wobble of the axis causes the points at which the Celestial Equator and the Ecliptic intersect (0° Aries and 0° Libra) to drift backwards (retrograde) through the 12 zodiacal constellations once in 25,920 years bring to pass the manifestation of the 12 ages (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces) on Earth every ‘Great Year’. This wobble through the ‘Great Year’ takes 25,920 years to complete, and in one complete cycle there are twelve ages of 2,160 years each. That is 12 times 2,160 years (one age) equals 25,920 years which is the ‘Great Year’. This 25,920 year cycle is divided into 12 houses of the Zodiac or Ages, just as a normal year is divided into 12,so is a full 24 hour day divided into 12 hours by day and 12 hours by night. How the 12 disciples of Jesus figures into this whole equation is another topic all on its own. Currently, that marker (the Vernal Point), points to the very intersection of the constellation Pisces and Aquarius, and hence it is said that we are in transition from the ‘Age of Pisces’ into the ‘Age of Aquarius’.

A look at the archetype of Pisces:

Pisces is a water sign and its symbol is the fish. The fish is the symbol for Christianity. Jesus' ministry and teachings were frequently associated with the fish. Several of his disciples were fishermen and he declared that he would make them "fishers of men." To quote just a few of the many passages from the Holy Bible where reference is made to the fish:

Matthew 13:47

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.

Ezekiel 47:9

And wherever the river goes, every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish. For this water goes there, that the waters of the sea may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.

Job 12:7-10

“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.”

As the martian and warrior age of Aries (the ram), the militant and ruthless rise of the Roman Empire, gave way for the then coming age of the Pisces, the age of the fish, the consciousness of man rapidly transformed from being at the mercy of, and worshipping a pantheon of planetary gods, led by ruthless, conquering and self-deified Roman Emperors professing to be enthroned by the will of the gods, to a personal and group spiritual union who cultivated Godlike principles through love, kindness and compassion (the archetype of Pisces). This was the teachings of Jesus’ ministry. Jesus’ philosophies and teachings brought in and exemplified the ideal principles of a dawning Piscean age, which is marked by the birth of Christ, approximately the year dot… 0 B.C.. In addition to the absolute ideal of universal love and acceptance, many other ideals and qualities are ruled and imparted by the sign of Pisces. The zodiacal sign of Pisces amongst many other things, rules religion, spirituality, transcendence, prophecies and prophets, drugs, illusion, imprisonment, fear and death or the endings of things. The sign of Pisces also represents self-sacrifice and undoing. In this world of polarity and duality, the deep, mysterious soul nourishing and cleansing waters of Pisces can also turn like an unpredictable sinister tide, into very cold, dark, cruel and deceptive trappings, naturally depending and various cosmic and planetary configurations in aspect and rulership to the sign. The betrayal of Jesus by Judas marks the darker side to this mutable sign. The crucifixion of Jesus and the eagerness of the early Christians to suffer martyrdom are perfect symbols of the darker side to the qualities of this sign. The Black Death was a fearful epidemic of bubonic plague which caused havoc throughout Europe. It originated in China and was carried along the trade routes to Europe by fleas on rats. It reached Cyprus in 1347 and soon swept across all of Europe[5]. It wiped out an estimated half of Europe’s population… another instance of the darker waters of Pisces.

The age of Pisces brought about the rise of the great world religions. The approximately 700 year period or cusp of transformation from one age into the next is demonstrated by a prophetic revolution that appeared to rise globally at approximately 500BC. At this time Buddha introduced Buddhism into India. Lao Tzu brought Taoism to China. Christianity was born out of Judaism and the religions rose up into powerful multinational institutions that also served as the financial centre, banks so to speak for the nations. Hinduism at this time was also undergoing a Piscean shift. Agni and Brahma, the Hindu warrior god were demoted, and in their place, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma were all promoted to the new gods of a transcendent reality beyond the mortal world. All of these religions took on the concept of Piscean transcendence. The mighty Roman Empire conquered and ruled most of Europe with an iron fist. The Roman Catholic Church battled against naysayers and rooted out these supposed witches, devils and demons that were irrationally associated with Paganism, in the most violent, cruel and degrading way. Paganism was squashed, millions of men and woman were tortured, persecuted and burnt at the stake, bearing the ultimate sacrifice (Pisces), death, for holding on to their beliefs. The fear of Pisces rose up and drowned out the loving and compassionate message of Christ.

Long before the rise of Christianity, the fish was used worldwide as a religious symbol associated with the pagan "Great Mother Goddess." It was meant to represent the outline of her vulva. It is linked to the Age of Pisces and also has associations with the Hindu deity Vishnu but more so with Dagon the fish-god of the Philistines. The name Dagon is derived from dag which means fish. There have also been discoveries of the fish-god in sculptures found in Nineveh Assyria. Dagon is also found in the Scriptures (Judges 16:23-24; 1 Samuel 5:2-5).[6]

The fish symbol was often drawn by overlapping two very thin crescent Moons. The one represented the crescent shortly before the new Moon and the other, the crescent slither of the new Moon. The Moon is the heavenly body that was long associated with the Goddess, just as the Sun is the symbol of God.

The fish was co-opted from the Pagans and reinvented as the symbol of Christianity. The Age of Pisces very much corresponds with the Christian Era. Pisces is associated with the continuous research of humanity about the truth hidden behind what's perceived by five senses, which corresponds with the mysteries associated with Christ's life. The Age of Pisces was dominated by Christianity in the West engaged in multiple violent, bloody and tragic wars between a plethora of other religious institutions. This has been the age of great world religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, among others.[7]

The heart of these religions, and especially of Christianity, has been the message of prophecy. This message of end-times is fitting in the Age of Pisces, the last sign in the zodiac. There is a spiritual battle between God and Satan, Ahura Mazda and Ahriman, or between enlightenment and release from reincarnation and the darkness of imprisonment on the Wheel of Life. At the end of this cosmic battle there will come a new cycle that heralds the golden age promise of the sign of Aquarius. Our own Renaissance shift towards humanism and science hints at the nature of the coming Age of Aquarius, which highlights the qualities of genius, science, knowledge, humanitarianism, brotherhood, and infinite possibilities.[8]

Pisces is ruled by the planet Jupiter whose inherent nature is to expand and reach for high spiritual ideals. After all Jupiter is renowned for his kind, compassionate and generous nature and high moral principles that strive to set a heavenly standard, a standard of what we can only imagine to be as perfect as ‘God’.

The intercepting age of Aquarius:

There is much debate as to when the exact moment in time marks the beginning of the age of Aquarius. Life as humanity knows it and experiences it to be is already exploding with Aquarian qualities and characteristics. Aquarius is an air sign and hence pertains to the mental realms. Amongst many things the sign of Aquarius rules communication through the air waves. The World Wide Web is a perfect Aquarian archetypal manifestation. Global interconnectivity and instant messaging on a world wide scale. The beginnings were in the analogue telephone, television, telegraph and radio transmission. This global communication and media expansion quickly evolved into wireless telecoms and satellite communication of all forms. Some call it the information age, some the digital age. These technological advances are all of the promise of what the age of Aquarius holds and will bring….and this is just the beginning. Multimedia, iphones, ipads, smartphones are all tools of modern technology that wire us into the airwaves that Aquarius holds in promise.

Aquarius is well known to be the sign of the humanitarian, all men are brothers and so should treat each other as such. Equal opportunity for all! The universal right to fairness and equality… – the recent history of constitutionalism and human liberation speaks volumes about the Age of Aquarius.

A political organization is constitutional to the extent that it "contain[s] institutionalized mechanisms of power control for the protection of the interests and liberties of the citizenry, including those that may be in the minority".[9]

Constitutionalism is the idea, often associated with the political theories of John Locke and the founders of the American republic, that government can and should be legally limited in its powers, and that its authority or legitimacy depends on its observing these limitations.[10]

The American Revolution was a political upheaval during the last half of the 18th century in which thirteen colonies in North America joined together to break from the British Empire, combining to become the United States of America.[11] This was marked by the American War of Independence between 1775 and1783.

In fact, the humanitarian and libertarian energies and cosmic influences of the approaching age of Aquarius were manifesting long before even the American War of Independence. During the Middle-Ages 500 – 1100 A.D., the Christian Church was the main source of scholarship and the main sponsor of the arts. For this reason, all learning had a religious (Piscean) bias.  But during the 1200’s the foundation of the universities of Bologna, Paris and Oxford brought study to a much wider group of people. The breadth of their knowledge was increased by a revival of interest in the writings of ancient Greece and Rome, a revival that led ancient historians of the 1800’s to describe the movement as the Renaissance, the rebirth of learning. The period of the 1500’s is known as the High Renaissance, during which Italian artists produced their finest work. This period was dominated by three men: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael. All three were skilled in many arts, but the greatest all rounder was Leonardo Da Vinci, who was a superb painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, musician and inventor – the ideal of the ‘universal man’[12] – viz. the ‘Aquarian Man’.

The energetic whispers of the coming Aquarian paradigm continued to bring forth its liberating energy by way of the Reformation. The revival of learning known as the Renaissance played a large part in the religious movement that we know as the Reformation. Already many people questioned the teachings of the Catholic Church as well as criticizing its leadership and the way it was run. It was Martin Luther’s famous protest in 1517 when he nailed a protest against the sale of indulgences (pardons for sins) to the door of the Church in Wittenburg that finally started the Reformation.[13]

This liberating energy continued on a global scale up until today, please note the following string of revolution after revolution as the Aquarian energy approaches its area of influence:

(1)          1523 – 1566:           Reformation in Europe

(2)          1568 – 1648:           The Eighty Years’ War, Dutch Revolt

(25)      1959:            Tibetan uprising, 14th Dalai Lama’s flight

(26)      1966 – 1976:           The Cultural Revolution, China[14]

I don’t know about you…. but I see a revolutionary pattern emerging here? This is not to mention the entire decolonization of the African Continent at large, during the last approximately 80 years. A global revolution is yet still to come…

Aside from revolutionary qualities the sign of Aquarius rules, this zodiacal sign also rulers over things like aviation and space travel, the former taking place in only the last century in 1905 and the latter on  4 October 1957, when the first man-made object to orbit the Earth, the USSR's Sputnik 1, was driven by the Soviet / American so-called ‘Space Race’.

Aquarius is known to be the age of information, the age of cyberspace. The grand unveiling of hidden / occult information and the rapid spread and access to all in cyberspace. The internet is a global information library and communication at the fingertips of the entire worldwide population.

As we as humanity are hurtling further into the 21st century at the speed of light, scientific and technological advancement, wireless, digital and satellite communication and panoramic inventiveness continue to advance at an inconceivable and unbelievable pace.

Having considered all the wonders that the Aquarian Age brings through modern technology and the fortified abilities of humanity to access higher spiritual planes of consciousness, as a traditional astrologer, one cannot forget that the sign of Aquarius is ruled by the greater malefic Saturn. Saturn is the father of time, our solar systems greatest teacher, yet he is infamously known to teach through deep, dark, cold, heavy and hard sinister experiences of evil, restriction, limitation, decay and death.

With regard to the Age of Aquarius, Robert Zoller, world renowned medieval astrologer who predicted the events of September 11 2001 two years before it happened, to the day, has the following to say about the coming age of Aquarius:

“During the Piscean Age, the benefic Jupiter ruled the angles. Jupiter ruled both Pisces on the 1st and Sagittarius on the 10th and thus while there was confusion of hierarchical religious and political institutions, the Age was nevertheless one in which truth and philosophy mattered to men. The Piscean Age will as this Aquarian Age unfolds be seen as a halcyon period of semi-respite from the essentially malefic and spiritually destructive nature of life.

In the Aquarian Age, the malefics once again rule the angles and with them return the natural severity of worldly life. Where once the religions of the Age sought to embody the City of God in earthly hierarchies, the New Order will seek to perfect the Machiavellian political philosophy that “tis better to be feared than loved if one cannot be both.”

The Novus OrdoSaeculorum, the New Order of the Ages will rule through the power of life and death, as Scorpio is on the 10th house cusp, through behaviour modification, cloning, genetic engineering, mind control and the occult.

In the age of Aquarius, the rulers all the while feeding the people with Libran platitudes, the Scorpionic rulers will work tirelessly toward the realization of their goal, absolute power over others – as Leo is on the 7th house cusp. The will of the people will be freedom of expression, Aquarius, and they will be encouraged to do their own thing so that they keep their minds off what their rulers do.

The family will be considered property and in the great selfless movement to come, great pressures will be put upon the population to dissolve family completely.

We cannot forget that Saturn, ruler of Aquarius, is exalted in Libra and that in the Aquarian Age, Libra will be on the 9th house cusp. Thus, there will be strong drives among Men during the Aquarian Age for spiritual teachings. The emphasis will for the most part be humanistic for the preference for ancient forms in Aquarius and Saturn will preserve the ancient teachings even though other forces in society will seek to suppress them.

The opportunities for perfection, Saturn as ruler of the first and exalted in the 9th, will be greater than ever. Sagittarius is on the 11th house cusp. Groups and gatherings of friends discussing and studying philosophical subjects will be a common occurrence. Many social groups will also centre on athletic activities, which are also Sagittarian.

Knowledge will be valued only in so far as it leads to the ability to wage war and destroy because Aries is on the 3rd house cusp. The cultivation of knowledge as a source of military power will eventually lead to a secret means of altering and controlling such things as Earthquakes and even the core. This knowledge will be held by secret societies and eventually leads to a new socio-political system far more Earth bound in the Capricornian Age.

As the Aquarian dream of humanistic science and universal brotherhood is a vision of the world to come in Pisces and realized in Aquarius, so too the Aquarian avante-garde will look forward to an Aquarian Golden Age on the one hand while Aquarian technocrats will look for a world corporation to fossilize society into a rigid caste system run technologically. Elements are already working towards this but while it may be realized to some degree in Aquarius, the Age being essentially rebellious will deny it and present innumerable obstacles to its completion until Capricorn.”[15]

If one considers the above which is based on medieval astrological interpretation of the mutable archetype working together superimposed upon the immutable archetype, given current events in the world, does the above astrological interpretation appear to hold true? Will let us have a look:

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945 after the Second World War by 51 countries committed to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights[16] (a perfect Aquarian ideology).

Have a look at the following quotations:

“The United Nations is the greatest fraud in history. It’s purpose is to destroy the United States.” – John E. Rankin – US Congressman

“The age of nations must end. The governments of nations have decided to order their separate sovereignties into one government to which they will surrender their arms.” – UN World Constitution.[17]

“Today Americans would be outraged if United Nations troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all the peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing that every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by their world government.” – Henry Kissinger, in an address to the Bilderbergers group, May 21, 1992 – Evian, France.[18]

The Commission for Global Governance released a report: Our Global Neighbourhood. This report details the intention to bring into existence a global system of taxation, a world court and a global police force.[19]

Isn’t it interesting the United Nations was established coincidentally immediately after the second World War, on October 24, 1945, the victors of World War II — China, the U.S.S.R., France, the United Kingdom, and the United States — ratified the UN Charter, creating the Security Council and establishing themselves as its five permanent members with the unique ability to veto resolutions.[20] It is even more interesting when one considers and researches the fact that the 2nd World War was manipulated and orchestrated for the very purpose and intention of establishing the United Nations.

Robert Zoller has the following to say about the rulers of the world during the Age of Aquarius.

The Novus OrdoSaeculorum, the New Order of the Ages will rule through the power of life and death, as Scorpio is on the 10th house cusp, through behaviour modification, cloning, genetic engineering, mind control and the occult.

There is plenty of evidence available supporting all of the above contentions, one need just take the time and do a little research.

The phrase Novus OrdoSaeclorum (Latin for "New Order of the Ages") appears on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States, first designed in 1782 and printed on the back of the United States one-dollar bill since 1935.[21]

Authors such as David Icke has dedicated many years to researching and publishing very detailed and much corroborated evidence of the New World Order and their agenda, mechanics and hierarchical structure.  This elite organisation that have been working towards global domination and control through the hidden manipulation of various political systems and governmental institutions world, not to mention the financial institutions which is at the very heart of this matter. The knowledge of the New World Order agenda and methods of manipulation are carried across generations, these very processes assisting in keeping the information and the agenda hidden, as new generations lose contact with the actual reality of the past.

This all sounds very Aquarian like in terms of the Archetypal energy of Aquarius.  Robert Zoller has the following to say about the world’s rulers during the Age of Aquarius, these qualities have strictly been taken from the parameters within the nature of the mutable archetype superimposed over the immutable archetype and taking into account the meanings of the houses and what areas of society its particular nature will be felt:

“In the age of Aquarius, the rulers all the while feeding the people with Libran platitudes, the Scorpionic rulers will work tirelessly toward the realization of their goal, absolute power over others – as Leo is on the 7th house cusp. The will of the people will be freedom of expression, Aquarius, and they will be encouraged to do their own thing so that they keep their minds off what their rulers do.”

Consider Article 29 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

“Article 29

1. Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible.

2. In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society.

3. These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.”[22]

Talk about a perfect living example of feeding the people with Libran platitudes, with the underlying Scorpionic intention of working toward absolute power over others.

With regard to knowledge and information in the Age of Aquarius, Mr Zoller puts forward the following astrological interpretation:

“Knowledge will be valued only in so far as it leads to the ability to wage war and destroy because Aries is on the 3rd house cusp. The cultivation of knowledge as a source of military power will eventually lead to a secret means of altering and controlling such things as Earthquakes and even the core. This knowledge will be held by secret societies and eventually leads to a new socio-political system far more Earth bound in the Capricornian Age.”

So, today is there any evidence of a hidden powerful secret Scorpionic (all the essential elements of the zodiacal sign of Scorpio are present) enterprise that oversees and rules world governments from behind the scenes, who are “working tirelessly toward the realization of their goal, absolute power over others”? The answer is most absolutely in the affirmative indeed. David Icke’s research has been well publicised in his books and on his website (see links page) for nearly two decades, where he reveals the historical origin and agendas of this secret enterprise or society.

This appears to be empirical evidence that the Age of Aquarius is surely upon us indeed, and its being, qualities, nature and influences have been manifest on Earth for quite some time already, centuries in fact.

Although the Age of Aquarius brings unprecedented opportunities for attainment of spiritual liberation and perfection and so-called enlightenment, as a traditional astrologer, one cannot ignore the darker more sinister and malevolent forces of the planet Saturn at work during this time, the ruler of the Age of Aquarius.
